Hi everyone (and my story)

Hi everyone,

I'm very glad to have stumbled across this website. A lot of useful information from a lot of great people. I best start by explaining how I've got here.

I am in my early 30's currently. About 10 years ago I sustained a soft tissue injury to the base of my penis (straddle injury). This left me with with an arterio-venous fistula and a lot of bruising immediately after the accident. I was physiologically unable to produce an erection until the AV fistula was embolised by the interventional radiologists a few weeks after the accident. The accident however left me with the chronic problem of significant scar tissue at the base of my penis (corporal fibrosis). This has led to erectile dysfunction and pain during sex.

For the last 10 years I have been using cialis 20mg to try and achive an erection good enough for sex. It's hit and miss to be honest. Oral sex is not a problem staying hard(ish), but the pressure of sexual intercourse tends to course a pain at the base and loss of rigidity. Even when there is no pain then I am liable to lose the erection, particularly during intercourse whilst standing. I have always put the weak erections down to the fibrotic tissue at the base. I accidentally however discovered that edible cannabis gave me the best erection I'd ever had since pre-accident (far better than any PDE5 inhibitor). Of course this is just my case, so I'm not stating it to be gospel truth. But it is used in glaucoma as it is a potent vasodilator so I figured it must work the same down there. Of course it is not practical or sensible to need to rely on edible weed for reliable erections (and nor do I want to), but it has led me to realise that the goods are working if enough blood gets there.

After researching the internet for ways to improve blood flow to the penis, I am convinced that shockwave therapy is the most suitable and promising option based on the literature and anecdotal evidence. I hope it will both break up my scar tissue to help with pain, and create new vessels to leave not requiring medication in the future or to at least be able to sustain strong solid erections with medication.

I also recently booked myself in for 12 rounds with the ED 1000. My first session was before quarantine (so annoying). As a result I only received two treatments. These were on consecutive days which I didn't think was the smartest idea but I went with it.I also asked the urologist to just save all my shockwaves for the base where the damage was done but he wasn't having it and did the whole penis instead.

Remarkably the first couple of weeks my erections were significantly better than they had even been since the accident. Now however, it appears I am back to how I was before the treatment.

I guess in a way it is promising but it is unfortunate to have seen regression now. I will be having the rest of the 10 sessions once life resumes, but I have also been eyeing up some Chinese machines. It might be that one day I can blast all my fibrotic tissue and be left with an almost normal penis again. I suspect however that could take a good number of treatments, and going back for the ED1000 each time for a top up will burn a whole in my wallet. I can also concentrate my treatment to where the accident happened seeing as the urologist isn't too keen to do that.

Anyway thanks for read. I tend to waffle on. Looking forward to helping this new shockwave community of ours going forwards.

All the best everyone.

Re: Hi everyone (and my story)

Thanks for sharing zapgood. Please keep us posted on your progress. I have a question. Have you tried CBD oil (without THC)? Do you think maybe the edible weed helped with anxiety so erections were better?

Re: Hi everyone (and my story)

Hi Pleasework. Yes I have and didn’t find it to help much. The first timeI I noticed the edible cannabis had an effect was whilst I was was on vacation  in California. I was in my hotel room alone having ingested some dispensary grade edibles. A few hours later I was watching the simpsons, not thinking sexual thoughts at all until out of nowhere I developed a spontaneous erection harder than ever since the injury. Of course I have experimented since and it is dose dependent. Higher amounts lead to stronger erections.
