Bruising from ESWT?

Hey guys recently got a Ginha machine I've been testing out. Just now was using it a bit, unintentionally on the wrong setting of 6p 6f, and I noticed a bit of surface bruising in one area I was hitting. Is this normal and to be expected?

Also how much should this hurt? I removed the plastic cap following the advice of some here and just applying the device to my skin directly. I've only done very small number of pulses so far, maybe 20 per area, because I'm not sure if I'm overdoing it.

Bruising is odd, especially at that low setting. Do you take blood thinners? I've found it uncomfortable, but not painful. Some people use numbing gel. Most people do 500-1000 pulses per area do 20 is very low.

Re: Bruising from ESWT?

I've never had a bruise, never felt injured, only felt pain when shocks reached testicles or prostate - the applicator's direction was quickly reoriented!

This, even though I've "overdone it" to the point of knocking out almost all sensitivity for more than a month (4400 shocks using 90mJ, large applicator did it).

I've found that skin color directly under the applicator fades to almost white, most likely due to blood being forced away.  I hold the applicator motionless, with pressure, against the skin during treatment.  Skin returns to normal color in just a few seconds.

Re: Bruising from ESWT?

To follow up: the bruises were surface level either from minor disruption to blood vessels there or maybe pinching the skin a bit since I was applying the device without the plastic cap. They heal after a few days.
