So been a while since I wrote an update, it has been around 3 months since I started and overall while not everything I hoped, I have experienced clear improvement. I had sex with my wife last weekend and she stated that my performance was as good as before my surgery 3 years ago that was the root of my issue. An exaggeration, but still I got reasonably hard and stayed that way - and before I could not get hard enough to peneratrate. Note: I was taking Cialis, but that was doing nothing for me pre-shockWave. I have taken the last month off and I am about to restart my treatments. As I have used low energy settings and mid Hz and seem to have expereinced some of the better results on the board I am going to stick to that so 10 Hz and 15 MJ with a 20 mm head - once a week with about 6,000 shocks.
I will try to give another update in July to see if I see any more improvement. I am mainly looking at getting harder and the ability to 'flex' - i.e. twitch my stuff - after my surgery I was unable to cause even the smallest of twitches and now I can cause a smallest of movements.

Thanks for the update JChiwood

Time for another update - short and sweet. I went from around 12 on the 25 hardness scale to around a 22 - crazy good results. I can happily say that I don't have ED anymore. Thank you ShockWave!
My third round where I did not use Cialis or vacuum pump and kept the energy and Hz low seemed to be the most effective protocol. 20 mm head, 15 or 14 MJ and 10 Hz worked great.
The only remaining issue is how long it takes me to get hard. And sometime I am not quite as hard as I would like - though it works fine. As I own the machine I am sure I will do another round.

That's terrific - congrats!
It will be interesting to find the upper limit of improvement. I remember my adolescent years when the only penis problem was hiding spontaneous and embarrassing erections. If I was able to get back to THAT...(omg that sounds crazy!)...there would be a difference - I doubt I would be embarrassed

Wow, congrats Jchi! This is fascinating. It does seem like you're getting the best results on here and doing waaay lower power and frequency than what's recommended.
How long do you do your once-a-week rounds for?
And do you notice a difference in erection quality soon after (like the night of)? Or is it not so immediately noticeable?

I am doing 6500 shockwaves, but at the lower Hz it takes a while. I don't usually pay attention to the time, something like 20 Minutes I would guess? No real immediate change in quality afterwards, in fact, the improvement is so slow that it is hard to tell anything is happening. It just a very slow improvement over months - until suddenly I was like, huhh I am getting hard and staying hard
Though, it still does take longer to get going.

Awesome. And I meant, how long do your cycles usually last for? Like do you do your once-a-week routine for 2 months, then take a 1 month break?

@JChiwood, what was your surgery for? I'm sorry if I asked this before.

I have basically been doing once a week for five weeks and then several weeks off.
My surgery was for colon-rectal cancer. In addition to them cutting about 15 pounds out of me which included no longer have a rectum; I had twelve weeks of chemo and six weeks of radiation. I was about 51 at the time and in decent shape but it kicked my ass. I had blood flow issues from the surgery and my penis (and balls) both shrank up to almost nothing. I permanent lost about two inches in size. Luckily I was large to start so now I am average. At first I had some general natural healing recovery, but realized about a year and a half out that my penis while better had stopped recovering; and I started doing a ton of research including getting on here. I tried a PRP shot and that did cause a short period of improvement but I could still not get hard enough for intercourse, until I went the DIY ShockWave route at the start of this year. I have now been cancer free about 3 years and my penis actually works better than before my surgery.
