First Week of DIY Treatment

So I am finishing up my first week of DIY treatment tonight; and thought I would share my journey as well.  I have a SW5F-ED machine from Kmslazer.
I am mostly sticking to the machine recommendations setting of 10HZ and 15MJ with the #5 headpiece which is around 20 mm. Which I know is lower than most people use. But, I thought I would start off with the default recommended setting for a few weeks and then if I don't see results - crank it up.  Two things that I am going beyond the recommended is number of shocks for which they have as between 1,500 to 2,500.  Everything I see shows a higher number is recommended so I am doing 5,500. (I am also slowly moving around (with gel) and making sure to cover everything including down low.) It also has you doing treatment twice a week and for this first week I am going every other day.  Studies seem to show this is fine, and I am wanting to kick start it.  With the low MJ I think I am safe to go higher in number and more frequent treatments. But, week two I am going to go to the twice a week to allow more healing time. I am jumping the shark on one item and that is inlcuding 2.5 mg of Tadalfil - due to this study:  https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/j.1365-2605.2011.01226.x  Which failed as a treatment for Peyronie's disease, but wow the results for ED were insane good for just 4 treatments. Totally diferent cause than mine, but hey I thought it should be safe to add some I had; just in case it's underlining mechanism would juice my results.
Results:  Nothing so far, but I know that is normal as it usually takes several weeks to show results.

Great plan J, keep us updated!

That study is fascinating. I'm definitely gonna think about incorporating tadalafil into my routine.

Are you thinking of taking tadalafil daily? I heard it stays in your system for 2-3 days, so I was thinking about maybe taking it 3x a week.

And do you have any recommended sources to purchase it? I know Dick wrote a post about getting a compounded tadalafil prescription for pretty cheap. In the past I ordered it from an Indian website and got it without any problems. Might be easier to do it that way rather than deal with the doctor.

Re: First Week of DIY Treatment

End of Week Two Results - HOLLY MOTHER IT IS WORKING!!!    I started to see positive signs the day after I posted last time - day 7.  I did not want to get too excited, but I have had an impressive upswing in performance. My erections are consitantly harder than they have been in years, In fact they are just straight up hard; for the first time since my surgery. Not only that but they are staying hard for long periods -  30 minutes - again first time since my surgery, and again a first I was able to do it twice in one night with equal results.
Now as per run down - I am taking Cialis (Tadalifil) every day. But, that usually only results in my ablity to get hardish. If nothing else I have gone from a non-responder to Cialis to a responder.  Which was one of my main goals. In another week I will stop taking it and check my performance then.  I have completed six self treatments - 4 every other day during week one, plus 2 the second week (2x a week).
I don't know if I want to put in writing were I get my Cialis, to answer the question but I heard of people having good results from ordering Tadalifil from NorthWest Pharmacy (Canada)  The actual medicine usualy comes from India.  But, it works as good as the US product in most people's opinion at a fraction of the cost. You still need a prescription - just email it over.

Re: First Week of DIY Treatment

Glad it's working for you JChiwood! I tried similar, minus the Tadalfil.

* 3000 shocks to the penis with ultrasound gel.
- 10HZ and 15-20 MJ with a 20mm head
- 2000 up/down the front of the penis, 1000 to the back (not sure if this matters)
- 1000 to the crura

First week: Every other day
Second week: Twice that week

---

Pros and cons with me:
+ Morning wood is a good deal
+ Erections feel fuller

- Erections still not always fully erect
- I have venous leakage, and that's still an issue. Viagra makes my erections fuller but they'll still spontaneously go away
- Sensitivity more or less the same. Worse with Viagra unfortunately

All-in-all its been a plus, but I'm not sure if its affecting the main problem I have. I'll give it a few more weeks on that and see how it works.

That pretty much sums it up for me too. I don't believe shockwave can fix a venous leak. It can give you better blood flow and improve erections, which helps, but doesn't overcome the leak.

Re: First Week of DIY Treatment

I’m afraid of that too.

One of the urologists I was talking to said External Counterpulsation Therapy might also be effective and am trying to find research down that rabbit hole. It’s hard to find efficacy of things targeting just venous leakage

Would be great to get an update.  Are you continuing with the same frequency of treatment?  Have you maintained the vascular health gains?

Re: First Week of DIY Treatment

Sorry for not giving a update

So, after week three I stopped taking the Cialis to see what impact it was giving and was very disappointed by the results.  The good news was that before the ShockWave treatments Cialis had been doing nothing for me, and now it was working.  But, my decrease in performance and measurements after stopping was still disappointing.

I upped the MJ and Hz a bit to 14 hz and 28 to 30 mj with the 20 mm head and have been doing two treatments (with a day between) than two weeks off.  I am about two weeks out from the second round of this.  I have also loosened the rubber cup over the head to make sure the piston was getting a good hit of the shockwave.

I have slowly / gradually seeing improvements to the point of where my performance was was when I was taking the Cialis.  So still not where I want to be, but I can’t complain as I have seen solid improvement.
