Gel or no gel?

I saw that Dick recommends using ultrasound gel (with a condom to protect the device) and it looks like all the practitioner videos do this also.

But I saw a comment Still Limppen made on the blog:

"About skipping the gel, the treatment routine is a lot faster, less awkward and doesn't need cleanup afterward.
Treatment can be much more spontaneous. And that's good in the long run.

I just reach inside my knit knickers, grab the cock head, stretch it out and then start applying the shocks over the thin jersey material.

I get good contact and easy movement."

Has anyone else experimented with no gel and gotten good results?

And re: condoms, do you think it makes a difference how thin the condom is (maybe thinner impedes the shocks less)? And are regular lubricated condoms safe to use with the device?

Re: Gel or no gel?

I think the main reason for the gel is to make it easier to slide the head around. The pulses are strong enough that I doubt the gel or thickness of the condom makes any difference.
