Hmmm. I'd like to know if it's really a shockwave machine and what parameters it's set to.

Re: New Cheap DIY Shockwave Gadget

If their website is to be believed, it certainly seems like legit shockwave.

They make no mention of energy levels or number of shocks per treatment.  For the same amount of money, I'd be more inclined to purchase a ~$400 device off ebay which gives user ability to customize treatments, and use the device for other purposes like injury treatment, physical therapy, etc.   But that's just me ... I prefer more control, other people may simply want a "one button" solution for ED only.

The device operates on the principle of low-intensity shock therapy (LIST). This is not an electrical shock, it is a mechanical shock, or a vibration. LIST technology is FDA recognized and proven safe and effective through hundreds of peer reviewed medical studies.

Here's the part I find concerning ... their warranty seems quite weak.  They don't appear confident in the mechanical integrity of their device.  Only designed for 2 courses of treatment.  Comments in brackets [ ] are my own:

The Rocket has been designed to provide [only] two full courses of treatment, more than enough to upgrade your sexual performance. The reason for this is that the mechanism inside the device undergoes extreme mechanical stresses to create the intense energy pulses which make the unit effective. Over time, these stresses wear internal components and after [only] tens of thousands of pulses we can no longer guarantee that the mechanism is able to perform at design specifications. The unit will continue to operate after two complete courses of treatment, but we recommend purchasing a new Rocket because, as mentioned above, the extremely high energy generated in the device does cause wear on the general components, and we can no longer ensure proper performance with ongoing use.

The Rocket is warrantied against defects in workmanship and may be returned within 30 days of purchase [and only] as long as it has not been used for one complete treatment cycle or more. If the device fails to operate properly during this time, you can return it for a full refund or replacement.

Hmm.. if true, this seems to defeat the purpose of a cheap shockwave device.
