Intro silverbullit

Hi, I am new to this forum and a huge thanks to Dick Limmpen for hosting and contributing to the knowledge base about shockwave therapy.
A little background on myself. I am 68 years old and physically active. 5’10” 190 lbs.    I lift Weights 2x per week, 1x per week aerobic kickboxing, indoor softball, golf, etc. I have had ED for +10 years & oral meds are getting much less effective, best erection level 3 about 60% of time. Level 3 morning wood only  ~1x per week.    BPH (enlarged prostate) for 15 years, SR  Uroxatral becoming less effective for frequent & slow urination. PSA ~ 10, 4K score less than 10%. 3 negative prostate biopsy’s. Prostate volume = 66cc.    High Blood Pressure under control with meds (alpha blocker & diuretic). Taking Testosterone for last 18 months under Dr’s care, total T level ~ 800.  Recent inguinal hernia & surgery has stopped my pumping for 6 months & I lost the .75” I had gained.
Looked into Gainswave locally & was quoted $3000 for 8 treatments. Then I found this page.  I am retried from pharmaceutical engineering and for ~$400 I am going to get a machine & try it myself.  Lots of clinicals out there show it to be effective for many other ailments other than ED.   I bought an E bay acquired Gttnha  HL 1602 shockwave therapy machine, scheduled delivery 2/20.
I plan to learn from Yobro’s overzealous experiences and start low (MJ energy) and conservative (# of shocks) with no damage or setbacks.  If it takes a little longer to safely get optimal results, I am willing to wait. I am looking for a good conservative recommended starting point for a first 3 week treatment schedule?  Would that be the Sirini protocol?  300 shocks for both cura, top, middle, & bottom of penis - total shocks = 1500 per treatment, 2 Hz @ 85 MJ settings (General output mode – 2 files=2Hz, 10 gear = 85 MJ)    2 treatments per week for 3 weeks
Any direction is appreciated before lift off! thanks Silverbullit

Yo, Silverbullit!

Good luck with your program.  An update - after my round in which I overdid it (August 2019) I took a month break.

My setback was a rude awakening leading to my decision to approach further SW rounds conservatively, and incrementally increase intensity until I found the point that was "just enough" to get results.

Keep in mind that I am using the largest applicator that came with my machine - a bit over 41mm diameter.  Obviously this gives much lower energy density than smaller applicators, but more total mJ than typical protocols with a smaller applicator.  I am still unclear whether or not the large applicator is a good idea, but I started with this, I don't want to change too many treatment variables at a time, and I admit there is a very subjective aspect - personal preference.

Sept - Oct 2019 - 6 sessions, 30mj x 2400 shocks total per session.  12 locations, 200 shocks per location.  Two sessions per week. This round was definitely under powered.  While my pulse "down there" returned, bottom line was results would not meet a threshold of clinical significance.

Late Nov - Dec 2019 - 7 sessions, 45mj, but otherwise the same protocol as previous round. A marginally better result than the prior session.  Still, the result was below clinical significance.

Mid January - Feb 2020 - 7 sessions, 60mj, same protocol.  Okay, this was enough to get the motor running and reach clinical significance.  It still felt a bit low powered with the following asterisk:  I did the last session with only 1 day rest from the prior session.  It was the first time I did this.  My impression that this is more intense than allowing even one more extra rest day.  I was still "tenderized" from the previous session.  This suggests an every-other-day protocol could be way more intense than twice per week.

Except for a brief, quickly terminated experiment I've avoided shocks to the crura - I don't want shocks going in the direction of my prostate.  And it seems unnecessary - you can come close to the same area with shocks from the side.

Next round - Will start in two weeks.  The plan is to stay at 60mJ, bump up to 2800 shocks - a 16.7% increase in shocks that will require a minor protocol modification.  As I feel I am getting close to a level that is beneficial and sustainable without adverse effects, session intensity increases (if any) will be slow from here.

Re: Intro silverbullit

My Ginha 1602 never came!!  E bay seller vipstore888 ad claims there is 100% US stock, but took my money & said he has a shipment coming and asked I wait.  He also has current multiple ads for the same machine claiming US 100% in stock.  He could not give me a delivery date so I am trying to cancel but communicating with a Chinese supplier is like talking to a 3 year old and because of the time difference you lose a day per communication. Filed a complaint with E bay which usually works to get your money back quick. I wanted to buy from someone who had stock in the US to avoid any customs hold ups but it looks like that backfired.

That royally sucks. This is why Chinese companies have a bad reputation. They aren't very honest if it's to their advantage to be dishonest.  I had to process the return of two defective handles and it was slooooow. Luckily Ebay should back you up.

Re: Intro silverbullit

Got an e mail this morning with a UPS tracking number for this Thursday Delivery.  Hopefully it is the Ginha.

I went with this supplier because they offer a 60 day money back or replacement guarantee.  Asked if they supply bullets or sell replacement handles & he answered "friend, if you have our machine, we can contact with our facotry to help you " I guess that is a maybe.

Re: Intro silverbullit

Got the Ginha 1602 today.  It was expedited ship directly from China. No paper work or instructions included.   General observations -  Tried various hz settings & power settings just impacting my hand.  A little painful at 2 hz & 105MJ.  As I increased the Hz it became less painful at the same MJ settings.  The 105MJ seemed like way too much for little Elvis at the Sirini protocol of 2Hz. I see now why the Gainswave folks use higher Hz at their + 3 bar (+120 MJ)  sessions.   In addition to treating myself for ED. I am using the machine for a strained knee  minicus & a constantly stiff neck & trapezius muscles that restrict my ability to turn my head.
Pumped for 5 minutes to plum up the penis & Did my first ED  treatment  with the 15mm black tipped head condom covered@ 3Hz 65 MJ for 2100 shocks on the penis shaft (700 each at 120 degrees) A little painful but bearable.   Total energy delivered = 136.5 Joules                                                                          I have been reading clinicals on BPH & radial shockwaves, here is  a study that has some impressive results reducing residual bladder volume & increasing flow rates.  https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6440046/     The treatment was on the cura, just like the ED protocols so I figured I would try & get 2 birds with one stone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXPDG06FMJc To go a little deeper to get the prostate, I used the white concave 15 mm head with the blue plastic cover @ 10 Hz kept the  65 MJ & did 500 shocks left & right sides @ 30 degrees & 1000 shocks in the center total = 130 Joules It was bearable.   Grand total Joules for the ED treatment = 236.5 Joules.  Well below the 396 Joules that got Yobro in trouble & under  Dick Limpen's treatments that add up to 270 Joules.

With the other treatments i did today, I put the machine thru +10000 pulses & 750 Joules of output without a hitch. I let the machine cool down between treatments.  The head never got above 32 C. So far, so good. My plan is to do 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off, & another 3 weeks to finish before going on maintenance treatments as needed.

Re: Intro silverbullit

Hi.  I just found this site today.  70 years old, divorced for 12 years.  Prostate cancer in 2006.  Radiation treatment.  Slight Peyronies,  heart disease, blood pressure controlled by low dose medication. Visited peak performance last week.  They tell me I am a candidate for their shock wave treatment. Viagra, etc not working. Almost certain of venous leaking. PP wants $5000.  Today I ordered a $50 Roscoe 1000 unit to experiment with.  Did I waste my 50.00?    I am looking forward to this forum and the information that is sure to come.

Re: Intro silverbullit

Shockman, it looks like you bought an ultraspound device not a shockwave device.  Ultrasound operates with  millions of pulses per second. Shockwaves devices operate at 2 ~20 pulses per second.  Ultra sound is good for muscle pain but has NOT been proven for ED.  Ultrasound power must also be carefully controlled because deep tissue damage the is initially unfelt can be a result if the power is too high. The least expensive shockwave  devices can be bought from USA suppliers for ~$350 on Ebay.  Most lower priced models use the same application handle. Here is another great website from Dick Limppen on this topic that has a wealth of information.  https://shockwavefored.blogspot.com/2019/
