My DIY Experience: ED-PRO

Hi all, joined the forums about a month ago and finally bought a DIY ED machine thanks to the bonus money I received from work.

History of my ED
To start, I have been having ED for years which I noticed has been getting worst and worst. I first noticed it about 4 years ago when I had been abstained from sex about 2 years prior. When I went to do the deed, I couldn't get hard at all. It was embarrassing as it was the first time that it had ever happened to me and caught me by surprise, but after that, I shrugged it off thinking the cause has been thanks to too much masturbating.

With a little bit of experimenting and "on-the-field" training, I realized it was moderate-severe ED. Sometimes it would get hard, sometimes it wouldn't. I then turned to taking those magic pills, Cialis being my favorite. This thing worked like magic - I could be standing in front of an abomination of a woman and still be able to ride her like a Ferrari. I know, because I would pretend I was on set shooting a porn film, doing all sorts of freaky positions.

However, after a few months, those magic pills started to wear off. I tried them all, cialis, levitra, viagra...None of them worked anymore. Even when there was a hot, sexy, naked woman in front of me, I couldn't perform. I felt down and depressed.

I saw a few doctors, and all of them were pretty worthless. I saw one doctor after the other - they would perform various tests, and couldn't find out what was wrong, and just past me off to another doctor / clinic. I must have seen just short of 10 different doctors in a short time span, each milking money from me just to see them or make an appointment. I was pretty pissed off and was thinking of giving up.

I stayed cramped up in my home, doing my own research on ED. Could it have been venous leak? I mean I have similar symptoms, but I'm not a doctor that could diagnose that. Maybe it was death grip syndrome, the online myth that NoFap can cure? But there is no substantial, scientific evidence that shows such a thing exists.

Well, since the beginning of 2019, my ED had been at its all time worst. For nearly half a year straight, I couldn't get an erection at all. In a 6 month time frame, I remember only getting hard once. I don't know what happened. I mean, I basically follow the same routine everyday - I eat the same food, workout, sleep - so how the hell did I get a random boner? It was rock hard at that. For me personally, this just tells me there is some kind of root cause, and I'll tell you, it's NOT mental.

Anyway, thanks to a few friends and connections, I got invited to do a real porn shoot. I accepted it knowing I would probably fail, but I took this as an excuse to find another doctor that would hopefully help me out. I took a few hormonal tests - everything was okay. I mean I work out couple days a week and eat pretty damn healthy. As it turned out, my total testosterone levels were in the mid range, while my free testosterone levels were somehow way past the upper limit, meaning I'm as ravenous as a horse.

So hormonal issues isn't the problem. I did a few more tests, and while I'm a bit skeptical, this new doctor I have might be on to something. I mean, I HAVE been getting hard lately thanks to his advice (maybe placebos), but I'm not 16 anymore.

Long story short, I have undeniable ED. If you want to cure YOUR ED, you have to find the root cause. In my case, I am going to document my use of this DIY shockwave stuff, but as a general disclaimer, I am going to do other adjustments and clinical trials simultaneously so my results may or may not be thanks to one fix.

Shockwave Machine
While looking for a cure for my ED, I came across shockwave therapy, and thank the heavens I found this site and people doing their own DIY and thought I would do it myself.

What I found was most people seem to buy from Lingmei / Beautytsl.

I ended up buying from kmslaser, just cause.

From my research, what I know is this: both of them are not really the creators / manufacturers, so I don't think it's fair to say "don't buy from xxx because their machines are bad!" They are just retailers, getting hold of the product, putting it under their name, and shipping them out. I mean, all of these sellers are from China, and they do that every where in the country, with just about any product you can get your hands on.

What does that mean? Well what it means to me (and I could be wrong), is that all of the DIY shockwave machines you see for sale are pretty much the same. None of them necessarily better than the other. As long as the machine is tossing around the tissue, I think the machine is doing its job. So when looking for a machine, I would just buy one for its long shelf life, rather than if it is actually better than one another.

Purchasing the Machine
After speaking to the people at kmslaser, I found they have an alibaba website: gznewbelle
It's the same sellers.
If you buy directly from the kmslaser website, I don't know what happens, so I ended up buying from alibaba because I know I get sort of that contract/oath/promise thing that guarantees I get my product.

Once you make the payment, they have 3 days to ship out the product, and once the product is shipped, it takes 3 days to arrive at your doorsteps. I just got it, and started my first trial.

Putting it to the Test
I used it for the first time just now, and as there are no real instructions, I don't know what in the world I'm doing. I just used default settings. 300 shots, to 5 different areas of the penis, for a total of 1500 in a 2:30 time span.

As for how it feels, it doesn't really feel like anything to me. Anyway, I will update everyone again, when should I give my next report, in a weeks time? In the meantime, I have a few questions:

-Should I use a certain frequency / energy (What the heck does this even mean?)
-How frequently should I use the machine, every other day?
-I don't have any of that gel stuff, is it required
-Do I stabilize my penis so that the machine can grind up into my shaft, or do I just hover it gently over my penis?
-How many shots am I supposed to do total?

Thanks! I'll keep you updated!

Re: My DIY Experience: ED-PRO

Hi MaoMao,
Thanks for your detailed post about your story. A lot of us are here because pills don't work anymore. Of all those doctors you went to see, didn't one do a doppler test to see if you have a venous leak? As far as Nofap is concerned, you may want to try it, many people have been cured as a result. As far as shockwave machines go, many are indeed the same thing exact machine, but in a different looking box.

Treatment suggesttions
use 14-16 hz, which is pulses per second
treat 2-3 times a week
gel helps slide the head around. it is crucial for transmitting ultrasound wave, but not for shockwaves
during treatments lay your penis against your leg or belly
Do 1000 pulses on each side and 500 on each crus (penis root under your testicles)

Keep us posted on your progress,

Dick

Re: My DIY Experience: ED-PRO

Wouldn't NoFap be ounterintuitive? I thought erections were good for blood flow and rehab? Or maybe just erection with no orgasm IDK

Re: My DIY Experience: ED-PRO

There is enormous variation in the protocols used for the therapy in clinical studies.  It takes some effort to find the protocols, as the full text of many studies is shielded behind pay walls.  But some studies and meta analyses are available for free.

Impact of aging and comorbidity on the efficacy of low‐intensity shock wave therapy for erectile dysfunction

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/iju.12955

In the "Methods" section, you'll see:

"Patients were treated by a low‐energy shock waves generator (ED1000, Medispec, Gaithersburg, MD, USA). LI‐SWT was applied on five penile sites – three sites on the penile shaft and on both crura – with 300 shock waves (0.09 mJ/mm2) for 3 min each (a frequency of 120 shocks/min). Treatment was delivered on only one side of the penile shaft, as shock wave depth reached both corpora. The 9‐week treatment period was divided into three 3‐week periods. We carried out LI‐SWT twice‐weekly during the first and third periods, with no treatment during the interim 3‐week period, as reported by Vardi et al."

From what I've gathered, the majority of studies are following this protocol, which was the one used by Vardi in the first shock wave study of ED.  Note that 120 shocks/min = 2 shocks/second = 2Hz.

All the YouTube videos demonstrating the therapy that I've seen use ultrasound gel. I bought a bottle on Amazon:  "Ultrasound Gel Aquasonic 100 Transmission 1 Liter Squeeze Bottle" from Parker Labs for $16.99

A YouTube video of an actual treatment with a somewhat different protocol may be seen here:

Re: My DIY Experience: ED-PRO

Hey all, it's been a week since I last posted and now I have officially started my 1st trial of my second week.

First of all, apparently there was a guide that I was supposed to get through E-mail, and I had to inquire about it to get it.
I've decided to use the machine according to the instructions as opposed to any other recommendations out there (for now).

I put the machine to its default settings - theres two, P mode and C mode.
P mode is just the more hardcore, vigorous method, while C is softer.
I went with P mode, and changed the impacts to 300.
May I also add the frequency doesn't go past 10Hz.

So that's
Frequency: 10Hz
Energy: 15mJ
On 5 different spots as suggested by the company
1500 impacts total, which finishes in 2:30.
(The manual and many other places say a session lasts ~15 minutes so I am a bit confused. Maybe my machine shocks super fast at 10hz?)

The instructions also suggested using the machine twice a week for 3 weeks, and take a 3 week break after that. I will do as written, with the exception of using it 3 times a week.

I did all 3 sessions with the same settings, but every time, I put the head on my wiener a different way, trying to figure out what is best.

1st time - while sitting down in a chair
2nd time - while laying down and holding my penis up right
3rd time - while laying down and laying my penis on my leg

Results
I am definitely getting an erection, but to say it is exclusively thanks to the shockwave machine is hard to say. There is also a different, distinct feeling to my erections. It is definitely firmer, but feels as if the tissue is just harder rather than a bunch of blood flowing into my cock - you know, the super boner you get that feels like a steel pipe that you can whack somebody on the back of the head...Or the kind that feels like it's about to pop like a balloon with all the blood rushing to the tip of the penis.

Anyway, I will continue to post my progress/updates!

Thanks for your reply dick!

Will keep your suggestions in mind.
In regard to my doctors, I didn't know anything about venous leak when seeking out my first 10 or so doctors. If I look back at it, I feel like they were so useless and incompetent that they don't know what venous leak is either, and if they did, would guess they didn't have the tools to diagnose it.

My newest doctor seems to be the most competent but is an ***hole, and am thinking of getting rid of him. He ran a few tests and said my blood is too thick and gave me some blood thinner. From there, my penis was able to get an erection likely because of it. He ran more tests, and says I may have hardened arterial walls and offered to do a CT scan. I asked if I could get a MRI or ultrasound test instead and he refused (I also asked if I could do a second hormonal test, but he refused that too).

Thank you.
For me, if there is something I learned from these is that there is no right, one way to use a shockwave machine.

Pleasework wrote:

Different places say different things.
I don't think any real doctor will say such a thing exists, so fap or no fap, it should be okay.
I do believe masturbating will help blood flow, but nofap will help increase sensitivity.

Re: My DIY Experience: ED-PRO

Hello,

Starting my 3rd week.
I don't want to write it in pen yet, but I am almost certain that thanks to this thing, I am able to get erections.

The reason?

There is a certain rigid feeling that I get after the session, and every time I get hard, I get the same rigidity. I am still skeptical about it being a long term fix though since the hardness seems to slowly dissipate over a few days.

Re: My DIY Experience: ED-PRO

Hi all,

So I officially finished my 3rd week a few days ago.
The manual says to stay off for 3 weeks, but I am not sure if I can hold out that long,
and after 3 weeks, it has left me with more questions than answers.

First of all, I am convinced this works, but my questions are:

When you put the head of the machine on the penis, do you put it lightly on the penis, or actually have it stuffed into all your tissue, so you really feel it? Do you make sure it feels like a jack hammer?

For me personally, up until now, what I find is that the rigidity losses its stiffness over time which leaves me confused. I am hoping for a long term/permanent fix, but scientifically, why would my penis lose rigidity over a short time after using the shockwave machine?

Also, are you supposed to stimulate yourself immediately after the session, or best not to touch it?

Re: My DIY Experience: ED-PRO

Maomao - patience, most studies show their is continueing improvement for up to three months.  Your expereience and machine / setting are very similar to mine, and my ED after about 3 months is gone, with my only complaint that it takes a while to get hard.
I would stick with the machine guildlines and trust the process. One of the reasons I don't think ShockWave gets more credit is because of with low-intensity settings you really can't tell much is going on.  But, the results are impressive over time.
